Taniesa Christina Velez

MANAGING ATTORNEY

Taniesa Christina Velez is the founder and principal attorney at Velez Law, PLLC. With extensive experience in personal injury, family law, criminal law, and civil litigation, she is dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation. Ms. Velez holds a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from California State University. Her expertise spans various areas, including circuit civil and family case, ranging from highly contested divorces, contested custody, post decree modifications, step parent adoptions, dependency, neglect, and abuse, in Jefferson and surrounding counties. Notably, she was recognized as one of the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2022 and selected for the 2023 Best of the Best Top 10 Family Law Attorneys award. As a first-generation Puerto Rican attorney, Ms. Velez takes great pride in her roots. When not in the courtroom, she enjoys staying active and cherishing moments with her loved ones.

Kelsea Hall

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Kelsea Hall, an associate attorney at Velez Law, PLLC, brings a wealth of legal expertise and accomplishments. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. As a distinguished member of the Brandeis Honor Society and the University of Louisville Law Review, her passion for law is evident. Ms. Hall also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Legal Studies from Indiana State University, where she received further recognition for her academic excellence. Her practice areas encompass a wide range of family law matters, including dissolution, custody, child support, domestic violence, and post decree issues. Ms. Hall’s upbringing in Southern Indiana and her experience as a first-generation attorney have instilled in her a profound appreciation for her clients’ challenges. With a strong sense of empathy, she always prioritizes their time and resources. Outside the legal realm, Ms. Hall finds joy in coaching Color Guard and savoring stand-up comedy shows. Her dedication to both her career and personal pursuits make her a valuable asset to clients in Jefferson County and the surrounding areas.
