Gather all relevant documents: You will need to provide documentation related to your case, such as financial records, medical records, and any other evidence that supports your case. Make sure you have copies of all necessary documents.

Organize your documents: Once you have gathered your documents, organize them in a way that makes sense to you and your attorney. This will help you quickly and easily access important information when needed.

Be honest with your attorney: It is crucial to be upfront and honest with your attorney about all aspects of your case. This will help your attorney develop the best strategy for your case.

Stay informed: Keep yourself informed about the legal process and your case. Your attorney can provide you with resources to help you understand the legal system and the issues involved in your case.

What are my options if I'm not satisfied with the outcome of my family law case?

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your family law case, there may be several options available to you. Depending on the circumstances of your case, you may be able to appeal the decision or seek a modification of the court order. Appealing a decision typically involves asking a higher court to review the decision made by the lower court. In order to be successful, you would need to show that the lower court made an error in its decision. Modifying a court order may be an option if your circumstances have changed since the original order was issued. For example, if you have experienced a significant change in income or employment, you may be able to request a modification of a child support order. It’s important to note that the options available to you will depend on the specific circumstances of your case. It is recommended that you speak with an attorney at Velez Law PLLC to discuss your options and determine the best course of action for your situation.
